Growth Unlocked

Growing up in Baltimore, Maryland, I can distinctly remember having feelings of inadequacy as I so often compared myself to others. In those moments of comparison, I felt like a failure and that feeling caused me to stay stuck for so long.

Fast forward to today. As I travel through the last 18 months of my 30s, I am critically aware of one important thing- growth is not created equal. Just as we are all different shapes and sizes and we are all unique, growth does not look the same for us all. For some, growth may simply be transitioning from a sedentary lifestyle to one of incorporating walking. For others,  growth may look like climbing the corporate ladder. Because comparison is the thief of all joy, we cannot say that one of those growth situations is “better” than the other. However, what we can say is that both required a desire to change.

CONSIDER THIS: What is one moment/example of growth that you are most proud of today? How has that growth unlocked who you are today and contributed to the person that you will be tomorrow?
