Michelle L. Early is a Business teacher at Walkersville High School (WHS) in Frederick County, Maryland. Currently, she serves as the Ethics Integration Specialist for her district; club advisor for Mentoring Young Men, The Black Student Union, and the Students of Color Alliance (a program of the Frederick County Public Schools Board of Education); and a co-advisor for the seniors at WHS.
In the 2022/2023 school year, Michelle was invited to serve on the Teachers Advisory Council of Frederick County, now known as the System Improvement Teams for Blueprint Implementation, and has worked alongside other leaders in Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) to bring the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future to the district efficiently and effectively. Michelle also serves as her school’s Equity Representative, working to ensure the equitable education and workspace for her entire WHS community.
Additionally, Michelle has served as a proud member of the Board of Directors for the Frederick County Teachers Association since July 2023 and thoroughly enjoys working with and for the over 3,300 teacher members within FCPS. As a career changer, Michelle has firsthand experience working within the sectors that she teaches her students about on a daily basis. With a history in retail and nonprofit management, Michelle has a unique ability to connect with those around her and create opportunities for growth for all. Michelle believes that her passion for helping others, combined with her insatiable desire to learn, make her the educator that she is today.When Michelle is not working, she enjoys writing, curating, and serving within the ministry lane as well as the business that she was led to create in 2017.
She is a fan of all things Baltimore, Maryland- as that is her hometown- and believes that all questions can be answered with two simple words: Roll Tide!
